OPENING CEREMONY Cream Cableknit Dress

So cray about this dress. I shall tell you why- because it's thick, stretchy cableknit in a fun ruffle butt cut that fits like a pair of dang Spanx. Annnd it's a really good winter white. I can't wear it everyday but I suppose these are some ways I would if I could.

With a Herringbone blazer and green oxford pumps.

And then with some muff on top of that.

Or with a jean jacket, sparkly smoking loafs, & a big ass flower on my head.

Perhaps Miami Vice style with some glitter pumps?

And of course what dress would be complete without a sampling from my burgeoning collar collection?

Happy holidays, ya cotton headed ninny muggins! Before you view my festive ho ho holiday attire....can we talk about how amazing this costly and elaborate set design is? It took Santa and I an entire 3 1/2 minutes to assemble so I'd have the perfect backdrop for this Christmas themed post. Second String Santa

Since 2006, my friend Caroline and I have attended a charity event called Second String Santa. We haven't gone every consecutive year, but this was our 3rd our 4th. For $20 and toy donation, you can enjoy drinks, dancing, and Hors d'oeuvres in an effort to make sure thousands of toys are delivered to underpriveledged children in the greater Charlotte area during the holidays. I can't think of a better reason to put on a holiday dress and brush my hair. This year we were escorted by our good friend Joey who helped us peel the throngs of men off of Caroline's body whenever she hit the dance floor. It makes sense that there was a full moon that night, because the freaks were OUT. I don't blame them though, I think she's phenom.com, too.

When I first saw this dress on Etsy I thought I'd be able to wear it as is. Buuuut,once I put it on I realized it's a l i t t l e bit more Dynasty than I expected. Even though I'm just as bat shit crazy as Alexis Carrington herself, dressing like the 40 year old wife of a 1980's oil tycoon isn't exactly my style.

But maybe dressing like the 26 year old daughter of one is? Instead of having it hemmed above the knee like I originally intended, I flipped up the hem from the inside out and gathered the back into a short train with a couple of safety pins. Next step: get invited to a billionaire cat fight.
